Creating a climate for Collective Leadership

Innovative approaches to sustainability and new solutions often derive from people’s ability to dialogue and partner for the future. Solutions to current and future challenges can only be initiated and implemented jointly by many different actors in the global and local society. Central to our capacity building approach is enhancing dialogic process competence in creating change for sustainability. We strengthen change initiatives towards sustainability that can be supported collectively by all parties involved.

We are confident a sustainable future is possible: every private sector company, every public institution and every other organization can be operated in a responsible and future-oriented way. The commitment to sustainability in its human, environmental, social and economic dimensions can become an integral part of personal, organizational and societal development.

Our work is based on the principle of Collective Leadership

Collective Leadership for sustainability is the capacity of a group of leaders to deliver their contribution to a more sustainable future through assuming joint and flexible leadership in service of the common good.

At the core of collective leadership is the human capacity to dialogue and transformation differences into progress: it enables the transcendence of self-centered views – a pre-requisite to successfully addressing the challenges of globalization and sustainability.
