Brochure on leadership competencies for sustainability:
During the past few months the CLI has been working on a comprehensive brochure on leadership competencies for sustainability for the German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU). The brochure is the result of a study on leadership competencies. We conducted semi-structured interviews with more than 30 differents counterparts from business - small and big - and institutions of higher learning across Germany. 24 representatives participated in a workshop on dialog at the BMU. The publication presents examples of entrepreneurial practice how internal change initiatives can be activated and promoted.
This brochure is only available in german language.

The project has recently come under the patronage of the former General Secretary of UNEP, Dr. Klaus Töpfer, and receives increasing media attention. "Young Leaders For Sustainability" takes place in collaboration with the German ASA/InWent program and private sector companies.

The U.S. National Academies contracted a number of case studies to examine success and failures in cross-sector partnership addressing issues of sustainability. The symposium was part of a larger Roundtable on Science and Technology for Sustainability.
